Open Question: Drug Test. Is It Legal For Me?
I live in stockton, CA. Im 16 years old. Can an employer or company legally drug test me? Is it illegal to drug test a minor? moreOpen Question: What is the best way to take and make DMT?
Hello everyone,I have a question that I really needed an answer for. So,lately I've developed quite a fascination for DMT . I've been researching and studying all about the substance. Frankly, there isnt any other drug I would rather try and Im willing to do just about any to get my hands on it. But after reading hundreds and hundreds of different recipes and articles,I think all of the information I have gathered is starting to jumble up in my brain. Basically,I'm really confused on which way I should take it and make it. I would rather smoke it,but If i have to ingest it,I don't mind. But if someone could please help me by telling me their own personal expeirces with the drug and how they made it. I heard something about DMT seeds? I also learned you can extract it from mimosa hostilis along with ingesting some Perganum Harmala Seeds. But,if someone could tell me whats the best way to take it I'd really appreciate it ! (also, please don't comment this and say that this is illegal, I am quite aware that it is already.) Thanks, Hailey. moreOpen Question: Theres a lot of people who use cannabis, for pain relief in some conditions,?

Ok, this may seem like a silly question..but I am dead curious. I understand why people use marijuana...it relaxes you..makes you laugh..etc. ;) Cocaine..they want to be hyper or numb out their emotional pain, etc. Shrooms...they want to have fun! lol E....need I say more? It's a fun drug. But Heroine? I don't undersand... Now, I am NOT advocating illegal drug use in anyway...I'm just curious what draws people to use heroine, etc. I was thinking about Kurt Cobaine and how he killed himself on it...and it's so sad....I always wondered if herione makes one feel worse...and what the purpose if of taking it. moreOpen Question: Question about seeking medical assistance for a drug addict?
My friend, 50, is a recovering alcoholic who is now having problems with pain killers, which are affecting his health. I have no idea where to get him help or what I can do for him. The hospitals have been drug testing him and pretty much showing him the door. He has very little medical insurance, although I know he has it. Neither does he really have a lot of money. What are the options, he desperately needs medical advise regarding the affects of his substance abuse and other medical issues. He has high blood pressure, uclers and congestive heart disease. His doctors now have him on so many pills, from anti-depressents to beta blockers and even aspirin for the ulcers. He is using illegal drugs to control the pain of his ulcers. I consider this his doctor's problem. Where can I get him better assistance? Any advise would be helpful? moreOpen Question: What do we have to be proud of in America?
I'm beginning to lose my patriotism in this country. We really don't have much to be proud of. Our economy is failing, first of all. Barely anything sold in the US is made in the US, and even if it is, it's still cheap. My grandma bought an oven two years ago, and it already broke. The one in her basement from the sixties has yet to break, and works fine. Second of all, we have government corruptions all the time. In federal, state, and city governments. Third, illegal immigration. The government obviously hasn't done enough to stop it, and it is a major source of drug trade and violence. Fourth, Americans are plain lazy. Very few people excel anymore. Obesity is every where, along with homeless. Finally, polution. 1 out of 5 people you meet will actually care. I've seen people throw bottles into the woods becuase they are trying to be cool. Government and companies are trying to change it, but the American people doesn't care. Not much to be proud of if you ask me. What should I look forward to in America's future? moreOpen Question: Is America a third-world country?
In my area, there are people setting up "illegal" stores in their neighborhoods and getting busted for it. The problem is, many people are coming out and supporting them because the economy is bad and these people aren't doing anything with drugs or narcotics. Yes, these "illegal" stores are in the hood, but these guys are just trying to make some money because they can't find jobs. Has America come to this? I see a lot of Americans laughing at "third-world" countries all the time, but how much of that "first world, third-world" nonsense is racial? There are a good many countries in the supposed third world that really aren't any worse than America, and in fact, have a better quality of life. Italy is supposedly VERY bad in Naples and Sicily. Much of Eastern Europe should be considered the third world, but they aren't because the people are white. Due to some of the stupid policies we have, will America eventually have to admit it is a developing country? All the signs are there that we are about to become VERY POOR.Running water and flushing toilets? Third-world countries don't have them? Who are you kidding dude? That's a myth. Some really bad places and poor areas don't have them, but most of the big cities have those things! moreOpen Question: Questions about anesthesia?
I have a question about this now famous drug Diprivan (sounds like some mean stuff). I may have had it. Would that be the same stuff I asked my doctor if I could get a six pack of before I passed out on the operating table (the doctor told me I said that, I don‘t remember saying it)? Seriously, after a anesthesiologist introduces a drug to a patient's body before surgery, is it at this point when a breathing-tube is placed in the windpipe to maintain breathing of a basically comatose patient (hence the sore throat when you wake up from surgery). Are there anesthesias that don't require a breathing-tube? My oral surgeon put me to "sleep" in his office to removed all four of my impacted, or trapped within my jaw, wisdom teeth. I had to be comatose as the surgeon cut my gums four times at the jaw line, then actually used the dental form of a chisel and hammer to bust up the wisdom teeth and remove them. For the oral surgery a breathing-tube was not inserted (I probably had on a oxygen mask), but none the less I had to be placed in a deep sleep for him to perform the surgery. Could you imagine waking up in the middle of that? To quote a comment on Diprivan “when not properly used a dose of Diprivan can stop breathing and result in a buildup of carbon dioxide, causing the heart to beat erratically and leading to cardiac arrest”. Question 1. If someone did take this medication without being properly observed, as you would be in a hospital environment, and the heart stops, even if someone found the comatose person and begins CPR (within 3 to 5 minutes), isn’t the chance of brain damage just as real as cardiac arrest? Question 2. This question is one that I would REALLY like an answer to. Let’s say a person has the most awful, painful and dreaded disease in the world and is without doubt going to die. The person wants to go home and the doctor allows it. Before the release, the doctor pulls out his prescription pad and starts writing script. One of the drugs prescribed is Diprivan (for arguments sake lets say the drug is prescribed). Can someone take this prescription to the local Walgreen’s and have it filled? Do public pharmacies even stock this stuff? If the pharmacy won’t give you the stuff, guess what? For $189.00 to $407.00 you can buy Diprivan online in prefilled syringes. I’m not talking about someone getting their hands on a supply of the pain killer Oxycontin here (if obtained by a doctor, the doctor can always talk his way out of Oxycontin). But Diprivan? What other reason could it be used for other than putting someone to sleep for surgery? Question 3. Are there FDA approved drugs that are totally illegal to have outside of a hospital? moreOpen Question: What do you think Illegal Immigrant Gets 10 Years For Third DWI?
A 31-year-old illegal immigrant living in Tyler was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for driving while intoxicated.Pedro Rivera Rodriguez pleaded guilty in 7th District Judge Kerry Russell's court for his third driving while intoxicated charge. A jury also ordered Rodriguez to pay a $10,000 fine. Rodriguez was arrested Feb. 28 following a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Front and Lyons streets. Karen Ream, a forensic scientist with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said she tested the blood alcohol content of a tube of blood collected from Rodriguez after the crash. The analysis showed that the blood had an alcohol content of .32, four times the legal limit. "Anything above .08 is legally intoxicated," Ms. Ream said. Murry Ballard, testified during the three-day trial that he and his wife were stopped on Front Street waiting for the light to turn when a van, driven by Rodriguez, crashed into their 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. "It was a terrible explosion sounding thing," Ballard said adding that his 65-year-old wife still has back problems from the crash. "It's a scary thing. Now all you worry about is someone running into you from behind."Later in the story Rodriguez's wife, Maria Ochoa, said through a translator that her husband only drinks beer and typically on the weekends. Mrs. Ochoa said that during the 2008 DWI arrest, her husband was at home caring for their 4-year-old daughter when she asked him to take her out for something to eat. "I know that maybe it was a mistake for her to have been in the car," Ms. Ochoa said. Ms. Ochoa said she would agree that her husband has "an issue" with drinking and would benefit from counseling. She testified that the only time she saw her husband drink and get behind the wheel were the two times he was arrested. "The first wreck was because the girl wanted something to eat. The second wreck was because his friends called and he left," she said. Ms. Ochoa said she was aware attending drug/alcohol counseling was a requirement of her husband's December 2008 probation, but that the family could not afford it. http://www.tylerpaper.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090703/NEWS08/907030324 But can afford to go out and eat, buy beer, why would a wife want her husband who been drinking caring for their 4-year-old daughter when she asked him to take her out for something to eat when he has been drinking ? People who want their heroin or crack are going to get it no matter what. Even if it is illegal. Therefore it would be a safer alternative of having them pay for it through a pharmacy. Just think of all the people in prison just because of a minor drug like pot. We could also tax the hell out of all the drugs. A lot of 3rd world countries would make good money off the drugs. Marijuana has been used even in the past by lots of tribes and history by kings, queens etc, and they probably wouldn't even have labeled it as BAD think they saw it more like a relaxing drug to be used wen you are stressed out. Of course marijuana can be bad if over used but SO IS EVERYTHING ELSE ISN'T IT example-alcahol, sugar, water, watching TV, taking prescription drugs etc. Alcahol is MORE dangoures then mirijuanna, people usually go out every saturday night or so and drink sooo much beer - it tastes good and so many car crashes due to drink driving, becoming violent etc. Some people even sugest that it was a conspiracy to make miriujanna illegal by some of the other competetive companies which were VERY POWERFULL but losing business due to mirijuanna. moreOpen Question: Renting from a tenant with a no official contract?
I rented from a friend for June (moved in and lived in room for 1 week of May, since she said it was already payed for). She is on the lease of a multi-bedroom apt where the other rooms are being rented to friends of the other people on the lease. I payed rent for June, but was unable to find a job this summer, so I let her know about two weeks in advance I will be leaving to go home for the rest of the year. She says because I had agreed to rent for the summer, I either have to find another tenant or pay rent anyways. I stopped residing there after the night of June 30th and my all my belongings were gone as of yesterday. I have also made good-faith attempts in the past few weeks to find new tenants, but with no luck. There was no legal binding contract. Nothing signed, nothing really verbal. No official agreement other than I indicated I would pay for when I was occupying the room. We had arranged this via email and looking back, the only thing I said that may have indicated that I will rent for the whole summer was that "I found someone who wants to be a roommate. We'd like to take your room for the summer if it's still available and you'd still have May covered." I had also explained to her in previous emails that I would be renting for the whole summer only if I got a whole job. I also did pay my rent for June on time. I had not been aware that her roommate's were the partying kind or smoked in the house, or used illegal drugs in the house...not so much as a hint that I'd be living with friends of these partying people who are very inconsiderate and do not respect requests to be quiet or to clean up their messes. So not only was there no contract, but the other roommates are performing illegal acts in my house and are basically roommates from hell when they party which has been usually more than 2 nights a week. Am I legally bound to pay rent? If I had made good-faith attempts to find a replacement (and will continue to try for her sake and for the sake of common courtesy), what else is there to do? I cannot and will not pay to live in that apartment again with those roommates. She also says that she'd have no way to pay rent, so it's 'tough luck' that I am moving, but I still have to pay. The worst she can do with the legal system is small claims court, but the fees wouldn't be worth it for her. Sorry for it being a long story, but it's slightly complicated for me. If anyone could find resources on Maine State Housing Laws in regards to this, I would appreciate it. I've gone through the state's websites thoroughly and can find nothing. moreOpen Question: which 'legal highs' are equivalent to which illegal drugs?

The plot: (Or at least what I remember of it, if you know of a movie that is in any way remotely similar to this, don't hesitate to mention it) The movie centers around this couple. At least one or both of them are doctors. They are part of a privileged group of well to do people who live in this shielded environment. The majority of people however live outside of the shield and are unprotected from something (aliens, meteorites, gamma rays, some type of infection, it could be anything really) These people outside of the "shielding" have basically been reduced to a hunter gather lifestyle and lack basic services like medical care. The man of the couple(at least I am pretty sure it was the guy) disappears for some reason, and the female embarks on a journey save him. For some reason she has to leave the "shielding" to do this(maybe the outsiders are the ones that have him, i honestly have no idea). She strikes a deal with the leader of a group of outsiders to help get him back in exchange for medical supplies. That's it; i don't remember the ending. Character Profiles: The Female main Character: Shes white. In good shape. average height. She has a darker shade of hair (red??) Thin face, think Julia Roberts. The male main character: White. Good shape. pretty tall. Black hair. I don't actually remember his face, but for some reason I think Robin Williams/Tom hanks. The leader(Or a significant member) of the group of outsiders the protagonist makes the deal with: Black. good shape. average height He has dreads. A vividly remember him wearing this ragged brown trench coat. Some scenes I remember: (Not in chronological order) The Female main character is standing at the door of the medical supply room while the black guy described above looks for something. She shows him what she thinks he is looking for(some type of medicine), but realizes he is actually there to obtain illegal drugs. She is wearing a lab coat The male main character talking to a old man sitting on a raised platform next to a telescope. The conversation has something to do with the sky, due to the way the camera is oriented. the old man is wearing a sweater vest and a cabbie cap. The main character is wearing a futuristic looking suit (Possibly the first scene of the movie) The male main character is in the shower, he is adjusting the temperature of the water the tuning the radio using voice commands. I know the despite the length of this post, I have given very little to go on. I have combed the net extensively and have been repeatedly foiled. The sky is the limit really, it could be a movie, one of those TV movies, it may even have be some type of TV mini series. I remember see the movie A.I.(A favorite of mine) shortly after seeing this one so most likely it came out sometime between 1997-2002 moreOpen Question: Is this actually illegal?

thanks "Mr." without a picture who first asked the question but i want to get my opinion out there should it be legalized? those of us who think of it casually would normally say yes but think a little more about the fact that its less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes if weed were legalized, those who selled weed would have nothing left to sell... except other, worse drugs. it may sound like a stretch but ive heard dealers say it and i know that it happens anyway. when theres no weed to sell, dealers may lead to worse drugs like acid, prescription med.s and plenty of other things, of course then making it easier for their "customers" to get it too. so i personally think that weed should remain illegal only because that will put a limit on the illegal drugs. it will keep many kids away from worse things do you agree?any dealer i know mostly sticks to weed except theyve sold a tiny bit of something else usually only a few times. if weeds legalized, they can get more of that something else to make up for their own loss of businessof course if they want to do it they can find it but if its more available, those who wouldnt normally think about it are more likely to try it. dont you think? moreOpen Question: has any one taken the drug Valerian 500mg to help sleep does it work?

Solutions to the illegal immigration crisis http://www.examiner.com/x-5919-Norfolk-Crime-Examiner~y2009m7d2-Solutions-to-the-illegal-immigration-crisis July 2, 5:16 AM There are a few, painfully simple measures we could take to stop the current invasion and expel those who have no respect for our borders, nor for our citizens. Truthfully, if any combination or even one of the following actions were taken by our federal government, most illegal aliens in this country would leave, effectively deporting themselves. 1) Place the military on the border. Rather than sending a few hundred National Guardsmen to the 2,000 mile-long border under orders to never stop anyone entering this country illegally, the way President George Bush did, if say 20,000 troops along with their tanks, helicopters, and U.S. Air Force over flights were utilized along the border (the same way we do for other countries), illegal entries would come to a screeching halt. We could simply take the troops from Germany, where 30,000 U.S. troops are stationed or any number of other locations around the world and use our military to protect our border! The Mexican border could and should be made a permanent duty station. This would allow the Border Patrol to full staff the official entry checkpoints which would greatly reduce the amount of drugs and criminals coming into this country. 2) Prison sentences for CEO’s who hire illegal aliens. Whether it is a landscaping company run-out of someone’s den in Cicero, IL; a 30-unit independent hotel in Virginia Beach, VA; or a corporate giant such as Tyson Foods Inc., once caught with illegal aliens in their employ, the head of that company should spend the next ten years of their life in prison. Additionally, a percentage of that company’s profits commensurate to the percentage of their employees who are illegal aliens should be seized. 3) Cut off all federal funds to cities which continue or adopt ‘sanctuary policies’ for illegal aliens. If a city such as Chicago, IL which has such a policy in place, refuses to cooperate with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement by not allowing police officers to inquire into, nor report the immigration status of arrestees, shielding criminal aliens from notification and eventual deportation, their funds will be immediately suspended. No more federal money for roads, schools, no special grants, no construction projects funded with federal money…Nothing. Only once all municipal agencies in that city are found to be in compliance, will federal funds be restored. 4) Require anyone registering a child in a public school to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Illegal aliens have been getting a free education for their children on the backs of American taxpayers for far too long. The practice has led to overcrowded classrooms, and ‘English as a second language’ courses in all of the border states. The amount of money spent per child in public school annually varies from state to state, as well as district to district. However, it averages several thousands of dollars per child. Why should American taxpayers be subsidizing the families of illegal aliens? If parents were required to provide proof of citizenship to register the child, many illegal aliens would simply leave the country. You take away the things that draw them here and most will deport themselves. The state of California is now bankrupt largely due to years of allowing Mexicans to illegally move their families to the state. Overwhelmed with Spanish-only speaking children, they can no longer provide a decent education for American children. 5) Begin mass deportations. Again, if you take away the goodies (jobs, free education, in-state college tuition, food stamps, Medicaid, etc.), most will return to Mexico on their own. However, there will remain a number of Mexican nationals who will refuse to leave, a great many of them will be hardcore criminals (gang bangers, drug dealers, etc.). These human predators will only return home, if forcibly removed. We have heard so many times that it is “impossible to deport 12 million people.” First, the number of illegal aliens in this country is closer to 40 million, second, nothing is impossible. As I said, most will leave after they are denied the services which they now steal with ease. The rest would be deported upon arrest for other crimes. This is the same nation which defeated both Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. This is the same nation which invented the airplane and the telephone. And, this is the same nation that can do anything which we choose to do. We have the infrastructure, resources, and the right to deport as many illegal aliens from this nation as we want. The only thing we are lacking is a federal government with the courage to do it. We must change that and take back this great country. If we do not, future generations of Americans will reside in a Third World nation, and it will be a mirro moreResolved Question: How do I get the state to take away my children?
I've just lost my job and life is really stressful right now, my (ex)wife is a meth addict we haven't heard from in 2 years and I'm stuck with 3 children (9 11 and 14) that I hate and are a huge drain on my finances. They've never liked me and only care if I buy them things and I hate their personalities, they don't know what good music is and don't know how to act like civil human beings. I'm not getting any joy out of them and they'd be better off somewhere else. I think the best way is to have the state take them away from me, the only thing is I don't want to get arrested as well, so developing a drug habit is out. My plan is to not pack them a lunch and tell them to take it up with their teacher, when she calls I'll call her a whore and tell her to mind her own damn business. She'll send over social services and I'll act like a complete ***hole (although not doing anything illegal) and say I hate my kids and then they'll take the kids away and I can enjoy the single life again. Will this work? PS. -- Preemptive for all the haters! My kids just suck. Did you ever meet a really cool guy and then meet his kids and they're a bunch of wieners and you're like "how did such an awesome guy end up with such lousy kids?" That's my situation. Ruth's 714 home run record lacks the spit-shined purity his backers trumpet. The Sultan of Swat made his bones playing against only a select segment of the population because of the ban on players whose skin color ran brown to black. Ruth never had to hit against Negro League greats Satchel Paige or Lefty Mathis to amass the magic 714. Yet no asterisk for institutionalized racism mars the Babe's marks. Ruth also was a habitual user of a banned substance that was deemed unambiguously illegal by the federal government--a drug Ruth believed enhanced his performance: alcohol. Ruth was a star during the roaring prohibition 1920s, and as teammate Joe Dugan said, "Babe would go day and night, broads and booze." But Ruth didn't just stop at the watering hole to find an edge. According to The Baseball Hall of Shame's Warped Record Book, by Bruce Nash, Allan Zullo and Bob Smith, the Bambino fell ill one year attempting to inject himself with extract from a sheep's testes. This effort by more than a few athletes of his era to seek the healing and strengthening properties of testosterone prefigured the craze for steroids. When Ruth fell ill from his attempted enhancement, the media was told that Ruth merely had "a bellyache." This was believable since Ruth was a glutton, famed for eating eighteen-egg omelets. The Sultan of Swat was also a glutton for women and violence, and he could be roused to fisticuffs if it was suggested, as it often was, that he was part black. The Babe's famous trade-out of Boston in 1920 was justified by Sox owner Harry Frazee by saying that Ruth was "one of the most selfish and inconsiderate athletes I have ever seen." Of course in Ruth's day, without twenty-four-hour sports yipping and with sportswriting reduced to sonnets of heroism for a country weary after World War I, his flaws were essentially invisible to an adoring public. But Bonds's flaws are picked over, his every strikeout met with cheers by a herd of likeminded writers who who act more like the White House press corps than independent journalists. It's a shame, because this could be an opportunity to reacquaint a new generation of fans with the singular Ruth. It could be an opportunity to explain that all heroes are flawed and no era is pristine. Instead, the media is smothering Bonds, and the rest of us, under the weight of a bowdlerized Babe. * I am not the author of this, but i do feel strong about what is said that "all heros are flawed and no era prestine" including our so called steriod era ! http://lists.portside.org/cgi-bin/listserv/wa?A2=ind0605b&L=portside&P=564 moreOpen Question: question from a libertarian?
why do some people think that if you oppose outlawing or favor decriminalizing something that you are condoning it? I think prostitution and drugs should be decriminalized, not because I condone their use. I am morally opposed to adultery but I dont think it should be illegal. I oppose any kind of stupidity but I dont think it can be criminalized. The only reason something should be illegal is if it hurts someone and the price of criminalizing it doesn't out cost legalizing it.coty, you dont understand my point. Under Libertarianism you would have to worry about your children being exposed because at the point that it becomes detrimental to society then criminalization would be justified. Democrats are the richest in the country, leftist activists are supported by the richest billionaires in the world who would like to put you in a box. Your television brings you news and entertainment which is heavily laced with brain washing messages of a leftist bent, owned and controlled by leftist billionaires, contrary to what those leftist billionaires have worked to condition you to believe. They use hip sounding leftist propaganda. They use the name of great causes, which they betray when it comes to a choice between the cause and the key to power they seek through that pretext, like so called environmentalism, global warming, looking out for the poor (who they betray and put in a kind of soft bondage of dependency and propagandize to hate others they are told are obstacles to their happiness, to keep them as voting blocks). They woo with goodies and feel good idiocy to bring you to work for their ends which will harm your life and your children's opportunity of creating a fulfilled happy life for themselves. They work to destroy your ability to own property and have power in and over your government. They work to bastardize your vote, to misinform you, to put in courts who will do what they want, not what your elected officials have made law. To undermine your rights under the constitution. They create devils for you to hate. Manipulate media to bring you into outrage on false pretenses, and to manipulate your neighbors so that even if your do see something is wrong, if you speak out you will be destroyed by your peers because that is what they have been trained to do. They have you voting for people because everyone else is supposed to think they are great, of course they do right? TV says they do. Your favorite shows approve of them and tell you all who don't are evil and wrong. Prejudiced and mean. While it's ok to be nasty mean and unfair to those people and defame and destroy their reputations unfairly, because, of course, they are the bad ones, the enemy, you know like Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney, Joe Lieberman, You know who they are right? John Stewart reminds you all the time, Saturday Night Live keeps them on your mind while painting them stupid and or evil. It's great to have a ridicules demeaning TV cartoon bashing the president, if he is a republican, but not ok to say anything insulting or off color against a president or vice president who is a democrat, that would be treasonous right? It's ok to go after president Bush's kids, Cheney's kid, Palin's kids, but not Chelsey Clinton or Obama's kids, that would be reprehensible. And they tell you it's ok when Bill Clinton sexually harasses women, and that you should ignore 3 credible reports of rapes by him, he's a good guy after all! right? It's ok for Barbra Boxer and Nancy Pelosi to get rich no bid contracts for their husbands. It's ok for democrats to trade on insider information. It's ok for democrats to cheat on their taxes, to take bribes, to drive around the capitol area on drugs and have the capitol cops cover it all up because their name is Kennedy and those are the good guys right? It's ok for Harry Reid and Jack Murtha to ear mark multi millions of tax payer $$ to go to projects which only benefit themselves and enrich their own personal investments. It's ok for Obama to take illegal campaign contributions. For Chris Dodd to get favorable loans from Country Wide in return for legislation that allowed them to help screw up the banking system. It's ok for Charles Wrangle to cheat on taxes, he is being investigated of course like Chris Dodd, though they have never obtained the documents that would convict him though offered openly by the offending bank after over a year of non investigation they call investigation. Do you ever stop, and take a good look at this stuff? Did people involved in fascist movements in the past ever notice until their terrible acts came back to bite them? I mean these are only a small number of examples, I could write a book. Is such disparity and corruption ok with you? What if it were an instrument used against you, using you toward your own destruction? to destroying the lives of your children in favor of those rich manipulative billionaires you've always seen as republicans, but who are actually supporting and funding democrats? Don't you get it?I've always been a DEMOCRAT, and I voted for OBAMA. But he lied and it's become so clear I started really looking into things. Watching those guys democrats told me were to be hated. Glen Beck has some excellent information, and I would have never seen it had Obama not angered me so much by betraying those children in DC by getting their vouchers pulled and forcing back into that horrible school system. Now I see more and more, people, open your eyes, please. Soon things will have gone so far we won't be able to ever get our lives back. moreResolved Question: OK, so we all know Mayfield is won his injunction, but....?

alcohol is legal and it is far more dangerous killing roughly 100000 people a year...Alcohol kills 6½ times more youth than all other illicit drugs combined. by logical standards if anything we should make alcohol illegal and legalize pot. if your excuse is that weed has more tar than cigs. you don't have to smoke weed you can bake it into foods, and if you do smoke it you only smoke one opposed to 20 cigs.Rolyn, if there are far too many pot heads already, then legalize it, the number can only go down. when i was 16 i had the hardest time getting alcohol because it was legal and there was no black market for it. you had to have an ID. but i could just pick up the phone and get pot. if the republicans were smart enough to think critically, they would want to legalize pot to get drugs out of the hands of children. moreOpen Question: I love him, but how do I get him stop using drugs?
I'm dating a guy I've known for 4 years now. He didn't use to do drugs, but ever since he moved in with his cousin a couple months ago, she's been having him smoking weed regularly and trying all sorts of illegal things. He already has problems coughing, and it's only been getting worse. Even his cousin has noticed and she's asked me to get him to stop... I'm afraid this is really affecting his health, he's gotten so reliant on it that it seems even getting him away from the city doesn't change anything... He still finds a way to get a fix. I'm not really sure how to approach him about this, I've never once used a drug in my life, so I don't really relate well. I know I can't force him to stop, but him doing this really scares me, I'm worried that the drugs might mean more to him than anything else. moreResolved Question: Why do some parents believe that spanking will prevent their children from becoming criminals & drop outs?
I've read many answers here where parents have claimed to spank their children to keep them out of jail, when ironically the majority of people in prison were spanked as children. They often cite that spanking will help prevent their kids from being drop-outs, getting pregnant as a teenager and doing drugs, but the states where the drop-out, teen pregnancy, and crime rates are amongst the highest are the ones in the South like Louisiana and Arkansas where corporal punishment is more common. In comparison, countries like Sweden where spanking is illegal have very low crime rates, and a very high literacy rate. Could it be that consistent, intelligent discipline produces better results? I've also noticed that many of the parents who support spanking use cruder terms "whoop his azz" and make more spelling and grammatical errors, which makes me wonder about their level of education, and yet they claim that spanking will benefit their children's ability to do well in school. I'm not attacking those who spank; I'm just wondering about their reasoning.Tartism Sucks: do you ever read over your crass verbiage and cringe as much as others who read it do?Actually, Tartism Sucks, I'm not a prude at all. I'm simply not crude and abrasive, and I don't "whoop" children.Socrates, I agree that this is simply the internet but there's a difference between sloppy writing with typos and answers riddled with grammatical errors. Why do you feel the need to resort to name-calling?Socrates, I agree that this is simply the internet but there's a difference between sloppy writing with typos and answers riddled with grammatical errors. Why do you feel the need to resort to name-calling?Hi Ista: I apologize if you think I am standing on a soapbox, but I am not. I'm merely asking a question, and as I stated above, I'm not attacking parents who spank but am rather questioning the reasoning behind it. I got my statistics from the FBI which ranked Southern States as having the highest overall crime rate. Googling will produce multiple articles if you do not believe me. Arkansas has "the highest rate of teenage pregnancy amongst non-Hispanics." http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/2006/09/12/USTPstats.pdf My point was that so many people on this website claim that spanking will help prevent their children from becoming criminals and teenage parents, and yet the states with the highest crime and teenage pregnancy rates is also where corporal punishment is legal and spanking is more common."Silly" the question has to do with what people write on the site. I haven't told you or anyone else how to raise your children. I've simply asked those who participate on this site on a regular basis about their reasoning behind their decisions out of curiosity. Quite obviously, if you don't want to share, you don't have to. And no, I'm not an abrasive person whatsoever. I think the higher crime rates probably have more to do with schools being overcrowded, the influence of the media, the higher rates of divorce and single parenting, terrorism, the economy, the more hectic pace of life today than 50 years ago that makes it harder for families to come together than a decline in spanking. And as stated to Ista, the statistics come from the FBI. You are welcome to do your own research on the states with the highest overall crime rates and then the states where corporal punishment is most commonly used if you are doubtful of what I've written.Voice of Common Sense: I've never heard of anyone who claimed that they committed a crime because they were spanked as children, but many (note that I am not saying that all) have been damaged by it physically or emotionally. moreResolved Question: What do you think of this report Justice Department U.S. Border 'Underprotected,Easily Breached'?
Judging from recent reports by the National Drug Intelligence Center, you could come to the conclusion that Mexican drug cartels can do something the U.S. government cannot: control border crossings. The cartels maintain "gatekeepers" -- their own sort of Border Patrol. "Gatekeepers regulate the drug flow from Mexico across the U.S.-Mexico border into the United States by controlling drug smugglers' access to areas along the border," says identical language in NDIC reports on southern Arizona and West Texas. "Gatekeepers collect 'taxes' from smugglers on all illicit shipments that are moved through these areas, including drugs and illegal aliens. The taxes are generally paid to the DTO that controls the area; the DTO then launders the tax proceeds." By contrast, these and other reports published this year by the NDIC -- a division of the U.S. Justice Department -- describe a U.S. government that often exerts little control over who crosses the border and with what. California's border, says NDIC, is "easily breached." Arizona's border has "few physical barriers" and is "underprotected." "Large amounts of illicit drugs are smuggled into the area from Mexico, and bulk cash is transported from the area into Mexico," says NDIC's report on southern Arizona. "These trafficking activities are facilitated by several factors unique to the region, including ... a remote, largely underprotected border area between Arizona's points of entry." Most of this "underprotected border" is not fenced...Our president and congressional leaders now seek to control Earth's climate by capping carbon emissions in the United States -- even as they fail to perform their constitutional duty by capping the flow of contraband crossing our border from Mexico. read the full story @ http://townhall.com/Columnists/TerryJeffrey/2009/07/01/justice_department_us_border_underprotected,_easily_breached moreOpen Question: Why does the media spend 3 hours talking about Michael Jackson but no time discussing the down fall of the US?

I predict a huge increase in dangerous "back alley" abortions and herbal "home" abortions, which would injure or kill many women. The amount of unwanted children would also significantly increase, because certain minority babies and babies born with mental problems aren't as popular as newborn white babies. Women who felt detached from the pregnancy but couldn't do anything about it wouldn't care about the fetus's health and probably drink, do drugs, etc. while pregnant. Can someone explain why to me? How is it that you can do anything else in this country like join the military, own a house, get married, don't need permission from your parents to do anything anymore, but yet you can't get permission(in a matter of speaking) from the government to drink any kind of alcohol til you are 21? If they think you are too stupid to control your alcohol before 21, why do they think you are smart enough to get married or own a house? I am 18, i just think that the situation is silly. I just want to drink responsibly in my own home. I heard that small amount of alcohol could actually benefit my health. About kids in high school drinking, they could use other more dangerous illegal drugs like heroin or pcp. Dont give me the argument saying, lets lower it to 16 or 10. It should be 18 when your legally officially considered an adult. And dont tell me about teenage binge drinking. They are doing it because its forbidden and they are not supposed to. They are counting the days left til they turn 21. Even if they get it illegally, should they be charged the same way a 30 year old would for the same thing? In Europe they ecourage RESPONSIBLE drinking. "maybe they think that your liver is still growing and they dont want it to bust." I understand what your saying but then why can we have cigarettes? And what about medication... things as simple as Ibuprofen can destroy your liver WAY before a glass of wine twice a month, or a beer when you come home from work. "I suspect that it's because people understand that most 18-year-olds are stupid when it comes to alcohol" I agree to that whole heartedly but then if we don't think an average person is responsible enough to have alcohol at that age, why do we think they are responsible enough to join the military or even drive a ton of metal on highways which is legal at 16!? I think there should be MUCH stricter drunk driving laws. No matter how intoxicated someone could be, if the drunk driving law was strict enough, they would think twice about getting in a car and driving and if they do get caught, THEY SHOULD BE IN BIG TROUBLE! What about people way over 21 who abuse alcohol and hurt or kill others. Should they be forced to limit their alcohol use and have all bars stop serving people after 2 or 3 drinks? United States is the only civilized country with a 21 drinking age. All over Europe and Canada the drinking age is much lower at 18 or even 16 and they dont have half as much problems with people drinking and going crazy. Its a violation of my rights as an responsible adult. Why not raise the driving age to 18 and have tougher harder exams to get a license? Wouldn't it make more since to let them drink at 18 and then when they're 21 and the binge drinking out of their system, teach them how to drive? Its not fair that I have to wait another 2 years just to enjoy a beer or 2. I cant stand it.I dont care about renting a car or running for office! Why should I have to suffer because of some other dumbass 18 year olds who abused that privilege? moreResolved Question: If You Could RID THE WORLD Of ONE Of These..........?
