Open Question: Do you think Christmas is overrated? what is your favorite holiday?
as a kid it was the best thing BUT now since i'm an adult it's like it's not a bid deal anymore... my favorite holiday by far is NEW YEARS!!!!I hear people are more depressed and there are more suicides at Christmas ...not sure if that's true though......well I don't really do anything family orientated during christmas so that probably plays a factor BUT it's not better than new years moreOpen Question: What can I do with canned green beans?
I know.......gross.......right? I don't know how these cans of green beans proliferated in my cabinet but I have like 6 cans. I only have one recipe which is that classic holiday green bean casserole. That is the only actually tasty recipe I've ever used to include canned green beans. Do you have any recipes that actually make them taste appealing? I'm looking for something other than the classic green beans with mushroom soup covered with french onions deal. Maybe I'll check the Kraft website, their recipes usually turn out good. What would you suggest? I don't want recipes that you haven't tried - please. My wife and I are separated and are working on getting back together. She and the kids went to a 4th of July party with her famliy and didn't invite me, knowing that I had no plans for the 4th. She said she didn't invite me because she's not ready to deal with what she will have to go through with bringing me around her family. When we were together she did some horrible things to me and basically played the victim, so her family thinks I was this horrible person. My wife has had me arrested, filed a restraining order against me which was denied, and told her family that I kidnapped our child. I know she is not ready to tell her family about the lies she told and the things she did to me, because of how they will view her. As far as I'm concerned, what she has to go through with her family is her business. I would rather be together and get the silent treatment from her family than be separated on holidays, but I don't like the idea of our family being separated on holidays because she doesn't want to fess up to lies she told years ago. moreOpen Question: What dress should I dress my daughter in?
Okay, so here is the scoop. My 3 month old daughter has this cute little pink sun dress that I have been dying to dress her in but it has been too big. I was hoping that it would fit her by today (4th of July) so that she can wear it to a family BBQ. Well, I tried it on her and it does fit, slightly big but nothing major...it looks cute! However, a couple of days ago I went shopping for some new summer clothes for her and I didn't realize until just now that one of the sundresses I bought for her is red, white and blue! It's too perfect for the holiday but at the same time I've been dying for her to wear the pink one! Hey, im planning alittle weekend get away to paris for me and my partner but im having trouble finding a good deal, Ive always been told you can get cheap holidays to paris but looking at all the holiday makers quotes £400+...theirs alot of other countrys i can go to for cheaper. but i do have my heart set on paris, does anyone know any cheap hotels etc etc in paris? Id prefer a nice luxuory hotel but im extremely tight for cash at the moment so dont want to delude myself thinking ill be able to afford something really nice when the time comes. so does anybody know any cheap but friendly (preferbly gay friendly) hotels in paris thats close or not too far from the beautiful sights. also if anyone knows of a cheap way for us to get from brighton uk, to paris that would be excellent, THANK YOU. oh btw im planning on going around october, hopefully avoiding the majority of holidayers but still having ok weather. oh and alittle extra, does anyone know of a good book teaching the most common phrases in french? What's the best way? The boy that I want to tell, is extremely close to me, and we always tell eachover we love eachover anyway, so I can't just say "I love you", because he would just say it back, and not know that I want to be with him too. We went out for about a year, and broke up because he was dealing with a loss in his family. He is now extremely busy with work. And that was one of the problems before in our relationship, he never used to have enough time. He is taking over his family buisness right now, and then is going straight off on holiday, and then he is going to a college which is far from mine, and he lives about an hour nd a half away. How can I tell him that I want to be with him, and that I really do love him, and that I don't mind if he doesn't have thatt much time! How can I tell him that I don't mind that he is busy? Because he won't beleive me, cos i used to always get angry when he was busy. and do u get more feeling out of someone when u say it to their face? or on msn? or email? or text? he is very busy so im not sure he can come to see me, and i dont reallyyy want to do it by text nd email, or msn cos he wont see the emotions, and stuff. would it be more real and emotive, if i said it to his face? if i did do it by email, what words could i use? xxx thnksand i have to tell him before he goes away! what if something happened to him...then he would never know how i felt! and i have to tell him, whats the point of holding it back? cos then i would never know what could have been, might as well try, if he doesnt feel the same if will be hard, but he will be away, and chances are i wont see him unless we both want to, so i will be spared any embarassment moreOpen Question: What makes a friendship stop clicking?
I have a male friend (knew him in person) with whom I used to talk daily from 2007 to late 2008. We are still friends, but he has chosen to mostly cease communicating (usually sending each other just holiday greetings and the only thing he talks about his his cats, whereas he used to reveal everything about his personal life -- and I do mean everything, right down to crying on my shoulder). This has been since late 2008. I miss the former close friendship we had, but he insists nothing is wrong with him and that I did nothing wrong. I don't understand why he got so cold? (I'm thinking he has a girlfriend and, being a man, thinks that backing off a friendship is no big deal.)cryingdr ... I have already tried that a couple of times ... exactly what you said ... my mom and step dad have been studying Judaism and Hebrew for 8 or so months now, and every time they have friends over they expect me to participate in their 'religious activities' such as friday is a day to do a certain 'activity'. I'm not jewish!! and i don't want to be! They at least let me stay home instead of going to Jewish church on Saturday, and i'm thankful for that. But i don't want to take participation in anymore holidays and 'activities'. we live in a very small town where we are all outsiders in wales its a very tight nit place, and she has always felt that she doesn't fit in. She had to deal with acne and alot of 'crap' throughout primary, she begged to go to a different high school, but i told her we all have these problems and she should stick it out. summer holidays have just began, and she has just finished her mocks. The mean and bullying comments are starting to take over her life and its a struggle for them not to get to her, she also has a fe 'crap' teachers that are very young and inexperienced teaching core subjects e.g science, shes a very bright girl and the new teachers have effected her grades. i phoned in to talk to the head teacher she was very help full and nice and said she'd talk to the teachers and keep a eye out for my daughter, we later found out She was full of bullshit.. and things got alot worse for my daughter. She has just finished year 10 and her acne and is clearing up and shes got her confidence back. Shes begging for me to let her change to this other school that is a hour away on the buss (but as we live in rural mountains its not that far) it old her to stick it out and shes nearly made it out, This makes her extremely depressed around the house and shes takes out her anger on her father sister and myself. She wants to start afresh where she wont have reminders and all the drama and better teachers where she can get her grades up. she doesn't want to stay on in this schools 6th form as apparently its going bankrupt and its well known for not offering many courses.. I holiday with them occasionally and do not speak the family's language and the combination of his whining tone and the language barrier is very stressful to me. I am a childcare worker and almost like a sister to this friend and was trying to help her to say no to her child while on a weeks holiday with the family. He is also not refused anything by his mother and whines then squeals until he gets what he wants. İ suggested to her that this was not age appropriate for a 4 and a half year old and she try saying no occasionally. İ explained that saying no was much harder than saying yes. But she reacted very defensively and said that he was not whining - that it was his normal voice. İt is not his normal voice - he simply whines constantly to get her attention so she has become very used to the sound. İ think our friendship has now ended because of this conversation. My boyfriend "assumed" i made plans to go out of town to visit a friends simply because I told him she asked if i wanted to come visit. He called me later that day and asked when i was leaving and i told him i wasn't i never said i was going he then informs me that he thought i was so he made plans to go out of town as well with some guy he's been hanging out with. He wouldn't ever tell me if they were going for sure, it was I don't know yet we just talked about it. Then he never called me answered his phone yesterday when i was trying to find out what the deal was. I kept telling him to let me know if/when he was going so i could figure out what i was going to do because i do not want to sit home alone on the holiday. NEVER tells me anything it takes him 3 hrs to return my text still with no answer. Finally he texts me and is like oh i left my house earlier we are on the way. WTF???? He never called me when he made it, of course he sent me texts wanting to know what I was doing. He has yet to call me i have no idea where he is staying, who he is with etc. I AM LIVID!!!!! So now i am going out of town to hang out with my friends but i am so pissed i can't see straight. Am i wrong or is he because i don't feel i did anything wrong by being upset? I get he wants a boys weekend but he went about it the wrong way in my eyes.Thanks guys, i'll suck it up and go on with my weekend! He's going on trip w/23 classmates. The school has advised that they do not want to deal w/cash (however, he will have $50.00 on hand). Debit is preferred to credit, however, there are fee's w/every transaction! On the other hand, credit isn't accepted everywhere they will be going. They also don't want them taking traveler's checks. Furthermore, my bank said I could not get him a debit card if his name isn't on my account. Sooo, am I limited to one of those prepaid credit cards you get at the grocery store, and are they good worldwide? Help, it's a holiday weekend, time is running out! Ok as you can tell by the title, I cannot stand my sister. There are many reasons as to why I don't like her so before you say that I need to get over this you need to realize that I have been trying to for over five years. So, the reason I hate (yes i no hate is a strong word) my sister is because shes a bitch to me and my other sisters until my parents are around. When my parents are around she uses a baby voice and opens her arms and says "mommy!!! daddy!!!" and then compliments them till they have to go do something. not only that but she says hi every time i c her and when i say every time i mean EVERY time!! i.e. i get up "hi!!" in that baby voice. i mumble hi back and then walk into the bathroom to brush my teeth. i come out "hi" in the same baby voice. i mumble hi back and go to the kitchen. somehow shes there "hi sissy" (she nos i hate nicknames i have told her many times) i mumble hi back. i go see my parents she is there and says "hi" AGAIN and i either dont answer cause im so pissed off at how annoying she is or i mumble hi back and i get in trouble for being 'rude'. and the reason i mumble instead of saying hi back is becuase she has been doing that for FIVE YEARS!!!!! i cannot stand it!!! plus, i left after getting mad at her for saying hi again and then later my other sister tells me that she asks my mom "i dont no why she wont say hi to me" in a "im so innocent" voice. another reason im so mad at her is because she stares. she will stare at me for more than a few minutes and im the type of person who just ignores staring or i just walk away or i just give the person who is staring at me the "what the heck are you staring at me for" look and when i give it to here she says in the baby voice "hi sissy". now there are many other moments like the ones above but when my parents arnt home she acts like shes the queen of everyone and everything. when we talk back she acts all offended and tells mom and dad and i get in trouble. ok so the reason i absolutely hate her is when i was 14 i almost died from internal bleeding and had to go to the hospital. a few weeks after i came home (i was there for a week) shes acting all mad at me and i confront her about it and she says. your my problem. because of you my relationship with God is ruined. and i hate you and i never want to speak to you agian. now let me remind u when she said that i had just got out of the hospital form practically dying a few weeks before, i was 14 and shes my OLDER sister. now my mom wants me to fix the relationship that im ruining even though i told her what went down because she said that when she was younger my mom and my aunt had a bad relationship and she doesnt want us kids to go through that so she makes us spend time together which made it even worse then my mom says "your sister is your best friend" and ends the conversation. i really dont want anythign to do with my sister ever again i am in college so i have to deal with her for the rest of the summer, breaks, and other holidays. please help me i really need it thanks. moreResolved Question: Dont READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Rocco & Sally Boy stand in front of Foley, he says do your best. Steiner & Joe attack them & take them out. Foley says to just let him wrestle at Victory Road. Terry, Magnus, Kiyoshi & Bashir joined Williams and they continously beat down Team 3D until Foley's new security team made their way out and helped 3D to the back. *Mick Foley comes out to the ring he says life can be funny sometimes and some times you need to make difficult decisions. He says that TNA shouldn't have two decision makers and suggests that tonight one should step down from decision making capacity. Jeff Jarrett comes out to the ring and says he needs to ask Mick a question..if he thinks before anything he says. He says they are cut from the same mold, its the nature of the beast. He says in Foley's quest to regain his TNA title, he put TNA in serious danger and no matter what happens after Victory Road he will always be a true legend in this business. He tells Mick he needs to start thinking why he came to TNA, the young athletes and their families and the future of TNA, but they have to do it together. got back from spain with all my friends, it was a brilliant holiday but I feel really depressed since being home. I am extremely shy and don't see my friends too often and now that they are all away to university and work I'm scared I'll never see them again. Also there were was a girl i really liked but she lives at the other end of the city and I'm too shy to contact her. When I was born I was baptized Catholic. When I was two my mom married a jewish man and decided to convert me to judism. Growing up we celebrated both catholic and jewish holidays. Now that I am older I want to convert back to catholic. I am currently expected my first child and plan on having the baby baptized catholic (my husband is also catholic) and my step dad (who raised me) is upset that we want to have the baby baptized and not going to be raising it jewish. When a man, who has walked out on his first wife and two young daughters for another woman - also married - gets 'done the dirty' on - does he have any right to complain? You see - this man is my partner, he did the above. Then the second relationship broke down because she cheated on him - and he couldn't stand it. I was with my partner for two years - and he treated me very very badly. He would shout at me, tell me what to do, make me lie down in the car incase people saw me at the risk of offending people, who cancelled an abroad holiday we had booked 2 days before we were due to go, he went abroad not even mentioning it to me! He never let me know he cared about me, we didn't live together, it had got to the stage where we only spoke every few days and he would tell me to "find somebody else to look after you" Now, I must add, we did have short breaks together and I loved them, I loved him, we had great fun together when I saw him, and a general laugh. It was unconditional. Sometimes. Which wasn;t enough for me. So - I did. I started seeing another man just casually and decided I wanted to give the relationship a shot. So - I told my partner I was seeing somebody else and wanted to call it a draw with him. He was devestated - crying, wailing, he loved me, breaking his heart - all genuinly I might add. Now, after that pain has subsided, he tells me he was a committed partner, I just didn't have the patience to wait for him and do the relationship thing properley on his timescale! He tells me I am a slut, a slag, a nasty piece of work etc etc, he has shoved me around, involved police - the lot. He's been aggressive. He says although he never had a lot of time for me and I got a 'sh*t deal' from him - his door was never locked to me and I knew he was a wonderful partner at heart, All I want to do is bloody scream!!!! Now people - from what you have heard - baring in mind he can be a wonderful and loving, affectionate, generous, kind and funny man (he;s definately not all bad - he is great) wwho sees who's point of view most? She's in Portugal, so she's paying someone to look after us, called Helen. She left £40 for Helen, and a list of things that Helen needed to buy for our lunch. Helen hasn't bought lunch for me or my brothers any day this week - and it's thursday today, it's the 4th day all of us have gone without lunch at school. Every time I speak to her about it, she says she "forgot". Helen is supposed to come over at 6pm to make dinner for us, but she doesn't come over until 8.30 every night. I called mum and told her what's happening, but one of my brothers told her it "wasn't that bad" so that she wouldn't worry - so now she doesn't believe me. My brothers are only 13 and 15, I'm worried about them being left without ANY food until 8.30 at night. would like some advice as to the best way to deal with this. Thanks.oh, and she has spent £20 out of the £40 on food for herself which I keep finding in the fridge (like half of a leftover chicken sandwich from the shop.) If she can buy food for herself, why can't she buy it for us?!Yes, I am 17 and I can cook a meal (and have cooked a meal in the evening a few times this week) but Helen has the money and I can't get it off her! My mother died when i was born, (i am now 15 and i have a 26 year old brother) after she died my father spent all his time working, my brother was already at boarding school, so i was brought up by nannies until i went to boarding school when i was 7. During the holidays, i normally stay with my brother as my father is never around, he is always traveling visiting his various companies and closing deals here there and everywhere. It is nearly the summer holidays and i don't really have a place to stay, i love my brother, but he is really strict, he always lectures me or slaps me on the back of the legs if i am rude to him. I don't feel i can constantly impose myself on him, he should not have to look after his little sister every holiday but i don't have anywhere else to go, i have tried phoning my father but i can't get any further than his secretary, he didn't spend Christmas or Easter with us because he had parties to go to, so i haven't seen him since November. He needs to be in an up tempo system like he was with Phoenix to be successful. Its proving very difficult due to us being a family of 5 Me and Hubby, 13yr old and two 8 yr olds, we cant get 2 rooms its just not safe nor visable. And we really would like to go all inclusive as people should know its so very expensive to go SC or HB and much better for the kids. I have found holidays for £276.00 per person and a good one was £356.00 per person but not many places give a room for 5 people now the boys can share a double or even have a camp bed in a room. we cant really go over budget on this and the places that do accommodate are like £2,600 which we just cant afford I know maybe people will be like you shouldn't have so many kids but my husband has his 2 boys from previous relationship and i have my son and we are expecting our 1st baby together at the end of October. I am 15 year old boy. here's the deal. i'm 24. i don't live with my parents anymore (haven't for over 5 years.) i have always had a close relationship with my dad (he was a single parent and raised me from the time i was 5 years old). once my step mom came into the picture, everything was great. one big happy family. she has a son and a daughter of her own (not from my dad). over the last few years, she has given my dad so much grief over him helping me out if i needed gas money or whatever. it got to the point that when i would visit for holidays, i didnt even feel welcome at their house. she constantly compares the way my dad treats me to the way he treats her children. Hello, we want to go somewhere decent for our honeymoon. We haven't had the opportunity to travel much but I was looking at All Inclusives in Jamaica and the DR. Out of the two, which one would you recommend? Also for the resorts, we are looking at the following: into Punta Cana (Gran Bahia Principe Ambar Don Pablo Collection (Adults Only), NH Real Arena, or Grand Oasis Punta Cana) or Puerto Plata (Sun Village Resort and Spa)… We looked at some places in Jamaica such as the Gran Bahia Principe (Runaway Bay, Jamaica), Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay (although this seems more like a family resort), or Riu Ochos Rios (Montego Bay, Jamaica). I recently got engaged to a wonderful man and while I love and adore his family, his younger sister is engaged to a significantly older man. The main hitch here is, the older man was actually hired as a handy-man by my mom when we moved into a new house. My mom completely disapproves of the relationship and feels she is responsible for it and no matter how many times I tell her how much of a good man this man is and how he is now part of the family, she won't let her anger and resentment grow. This creates problems when it comes time for family get togethers and holidays as my mom refuses to even be in the same room as him let alone in her house. As such, we haven't been able to have the entire family together and nothing I say makes her change her judgement and views. I don't want it to, but I think it will begin to cause rifts between my fiance and I as his family is beginning to feel unwelcome as they believe my mom looks down on them. I try explaining the hardships it's causing to my mom but she just either doesn't seem to care or refuses to even give it a second glance. I don't want to forever be splitting up on holidays or even rotating holidays since our families live 20 minutes from each other and we could all come together as one and celebrate. Ok, I currently live in Germany, I am here as a us military dependent. I am currently seperated from my husband, but no official divorce will be happening to fast. The seperation is filed, and it legal. I must move back to the states for a short time, before even considering how I will live over here again. The plan is to go back to the states for about 3-6 months. All of my house hold goods, and myself have to return to the states. Okay. This is gonna be long, so be prepared. This AWESOME (my dream girl) chick, broke up with me around this time (Jul) last year, reason being "she wasnt ready for this relationship and still has things about herself she needs to work on, BUT wants to be good friends with me". How I used to drive and how i used to get mad, which she always found as super funny..lol..now she's dropping the babes and babys left and right. She texts me about the questions again, while sitting RIGHT NEXT to me. She makes hints to when her fav bands are coming to town, she wants me to watch her fav movie with her sometime soon, and saying that maybe the answers to my "questions" wont be as bad as i think. I keep in mind, she DOES have dude friends. But none seemed to call or text while we were together that day/night, except her bestfriend. That was 3 days ago. Now EVERYDAY, she texts me asking if I'm gonna ask the questions, and she's not gonna stop til I ask. ALL THIS knowing I still like her, but aint really showing it..other than I told her that I do. She also has a rep of NOT EXPRESSING her feelings and sure as hell not talking about em. She was "gaga" (her words to friends) over me when we dated, to actually break down and express her feelings with me. I used to be a "big deal". I'm about to go on holiday to Cyprus and have just found out I'll need to hire a car as the one I was going to be using has been sold. I'm having alot of problems finding a reasonable deal on a car hire, I'm 24 and have had my license for about 20months so I'm automatically excluded from most companies. I found Europcar who would rent to me but told me I'd have to put down a ridiculous deposit on top of the payment to hire the car. Does anyone know of a good reputable company that don't charge through the roof prices and don't have lots of silly surcharges and deposits?
